The other day I was binge watching YouTube videos and noticed something a little out of whack, the "feminist" movement. Today's feminists would have suffragists turning in their graves. In 1910, an event that would come to be known as "Black Friday" occurred in the United Kingdom. Three hundred women showed up to fight for the right to vote and of them around 200 were assaulted by police, two died as a result.
Seven years later, in the United States, thirty three suffragists were illegally arrested, convicted and imprisoned in a workhouse where they were beaten and tortured. They could have filed suits on the spot for damages, false arrest and false imprisonment, none of them did. Meanwhile, today's feminists harass people because they feel harassed. I saw one screaming "sexual assault" as she followed, no, stalked a guy with her camera in hand because he had the audacity to say "hello" to her. How dare he...right? They run around assigning blame mostly to men but also on their unhappy childhoods or some event or situation, often that didn't even happen to them directly, that they can insert themselves into as a victim.
I am not a feminist anymore as I cannot find much I have in common with them, especially third wave feminists. After watching them however, I want to apologize to all men out there for the ridiculous behavior of some women, it's embarrassing and disappointing. Thank goodness the commonality stops at the fact that we are women. Can I say that? Has the word woman somehow become offensive?
It's plain to see why this movement and affiliated movements make up so many ways to reassign blame. If there are 91 words to describe gender and I say, "The behavior of these women is deplorable" they can just say, despite dragging their cat around everywhere they go, that they aren't actually women, they are binary, this-gender or that emoji identity and conveniently re-assign blame. That's what people from both sides have perfected, assignment of blame.
That's what happens when you see things just as one side or another, one way or another, no grey area.
"I'm not a box, I don't HAVE sides. This is it, one side fits all."

Men are awesome and deserve to be treated with respect, that's right, I said it. Sure, some men are real ass-hats but then again, all anyone has to do is watch the behavior of most feminists and it's easy to see that women can be much worse. Remember, YOU are the face of your movement, how are you representing it? When I see women jumping out of their cars to harass random men who are minding their own business, screaming sexual harassment like fools, it disgusts me.
Being a man and going on a date must be a real pain in the ass these days. If you open the door for her she might bitch at you for being a Neanderthal, if you don't open it you're a loathsome, inconsiderate jerk. And if you don't make six figures, you'll die alone. How awful it must feel to walk on eggshells all the time and feel like you just can't win? Wait! I may have just hit the nail on the head, I may have just discovered in that last self-reflective query what connects us all, the feeling we can't win no matter how hard we try.
Everyone can understand feeling that, walking on eggshells, no common ground to stand on. People go into battle to find common ground and once it's found they go to war over it. People blame programming, ego, other people, trauma, anything they possibly can. It's really all about creatively assigning blame and people from both ends of the spectrum are guilty of doing it. Am I here blaming them? No, not really. Just pointing it out.
At the end of the day the behavior is so deplorable on both sides of the issue that my recommendation is find somewhere in the middle to hang out. It isn't as though every single thing a feminist says is horrible, same goes for the comments made on the "right" or "alt right." The "alt" right because they are too conservative to just use the word "alternative" due largely to the connotations it has to anything else that is alternative, things they are demonstrably against.
This group makes it so easy, starting with using a name for themselves that was coined by a white supremacist. They are truly the original "Snowflakes." They make it easy for feminists or any other "Social Justice Warrior" who comes along whining, to question their ethics by aligning themselves with white supremacy.
They're also opening the door for their opposition to stomp their little feet and point their little fingers at all that white privilege, despite the fact that they are oft times just imagining it. That alone says volumes about them and yet if I had to pick a side to listen to, whether I agree with them or not, it would be the alt right, hands down, they're far less violent.
I'll say it again to the alts and the feminists, YOU are the face of your movement and the way things are looking to us common folk, the ones you want to sway to your side, is that none of you are very appealing. I myself have made jokes about how U.S.A. could stand for United State of Apathy but seriously, you all make it impossible to care what you think because of your actions.
Honestly, the way things have been going, I wish you people would make apathy a practice. We do want to hear what you have to say but it's hard to hear you over all the ridiculous. Start with remembering that you have some really intriguing things to say about your issues and that is really what it's all about, your issues, your cause, not just you.
I originally wrote this awhile ago and now the fourth wave is hitting hard and it's filled with all the toxic sludge from rivers clogged with third wave nonsense. None of you are helping, you're like firemen lighting houses on fire just so you can keep your job and all your doing as far as those you're trying to reach is making them wish you'd just stay in the house after you light it. The difference is that at least firemen do something worthwhile.
