I have never been a person with a lot of self confidence, I mention this because I can only speak for myself, not anyone else. I know I'm not alone struggling for self confidence though. I work hard to maintain a balance between wantonly beating myself up for every little thing and giving myself a compliment, just a little one, every now and then.
While all of that makes me no different than anyone else, there is something that sets me apart. When it comes to approach, I take the scenic route rather than the shortcut to thinking that is Dumb-ass Drive. There's no parking there anyway, too many folks are already there, parked in the "S" Lot. "S" for Stagnant. Most people can relate to being hard on themselves, it can give them the drive they need to do better, try harder.
This is the part where I could go on and on, referencing different names I have been called by folks too tiny to come up with something more clever than name-calling, the insults, the threats, all that jazz. I could point out the atrocities and horrors committed against proper spelling and grammar as well, but I won't. Instead, I'll just say a loud and proper, Thank You!
When I make mention of the moronic know this, I am not sinking into the murky waters of hypocrisy. The truth of the matter is that there really are morons out there, it's an undeniable fact. I'm not name-calling, I'm simply stating facts, if your knickers are all a-twist, ask yourself why. The insults that I see hurled around online are a sad reminder of what society is falling into and support my hypothesis about how awesome I am for simply being humane and rising above. So again, thanks!
This is an excellent time to be alive, we have all the information in the world at our fingertips, the way we can connect to anyone, anywhere in the world in real time is awesome, but with the sweet, comes the sour. For every bit of legitimate information out there, there are triple the bits of misinformation. Sadly, what connects people is an overly developed sense of self-entitlement based on this misinformation.
People seem to forget that it doesn't make you clever to insult people, especially when they have given you no reason or cause to do so, and even then, rise above, Bozo. I'm not being some wimpy-kitty-baby-whiner who can't take an insult here. To be clear, I don't give a fiddler's fart what misinformed people who can't think beyond common insults and idiocy has to say in the first place. Also, I've been insulted by far better people, people who actually think and have the sack to do it to my face rather than as "SnarkySnake666" on some random social media platform.
Truth is, your comments say far more about you than about others. So many people out there pretending that their causes and ideas can make the world a better place and yet all I see are children on a playground competing over who can deliver what they think in their tiny brains is the most clever smack down. All the while it takes far more intelligence to think beyond the childish insults and the contrary attitude and actually get the context of an idea before replying. How about not being assumptive and jumping to conclusions and making horrible accusations? My apologies, I can see I'm moving into territory that is baffling for some of you...
At the end of the day I can do nothing to stop the onslaught of idiocy I see every single day. To loop this back around I will bring up once more my own lack of confidence. As much as I keep a pretty healthy balance between the traditional human feelings of self-loathing and self-love it helps that you are all out there. You know who you are, so does everyone else, your ignorance makes you hard to miss.
This is for all of you, all of you too ignorant to even realize you're acting like a world class ass-clown, too stupid to spell stupid, and too caught up in your own self-created whirlwind of bullshit reality to even make sense. Congratulations, YOU are the biggest Turd in Turdtown. Thank you, low hanging fruit.
They say if you can't beat 'em, join 'em, but this isn't a club I want to be in. I prefer forward movement over backward idiocy any day. I am grateful though. Sometimes, after a particularly hard day when I need to build up my confidence, I can just go online and find inspiration and empowerment knowing I've risen above the dumbassery I see there.
So again, thanks. Thank You to all of you. The internet is a tool, no different than a hammer or screwdriver, what are you building? The internet can challenge one to think, to research, to self-educate and yet people just seem to be getting more and more idiotic.
